Culture of Bangladesh

Culture means the complete picture of life of a society or nation. A society’s culture is made up of all its ideas and ways of behaving. Language, music, ideas about what is evil and good, ways of working and playing, and the tools and other objects- all these are parts of a society’s culture. Every society is endowed with its own. We have our own language, music and social customs which build up our culture. We’ve song bases based on rural and idyllic picture of life. We’ve folk songs, local jatra-pala, own marital systems based on religious and social rules. We celebrate the pahela boishakh as the Bangle New Year Day.

International Mother Language Day and Bangladesh.

Mother Language is divine gift as stated in the holy Quran. It's very important in the sense  that the people of a country express their idea, thought, feelings and emotions clearly through it.The 21st February is a red letter day in our national and international life also. Every year on this very day, the whole nation comes to the martyr's monument and the ritual seems to effect a purification of souls. On this day in 1952, the the brave sons of  "Mother-Bengle" laid down their lives to protect the interest of the mother tongue (language). According to a unanimous decision of the UNESCO on Nov. 17, 1999, this day is now the INTERNATIONAL MOTHER LANGUAGE DAY. This declaration has turned a national celebration to an international event.
